Raila Odinga age and place of birth
On January 7, 1945, he was born at the Maseno Church Missionary Society Hospital in Maseno, Kisumu District, Nyanza Province. Raila Odinga is the son of Kenya’s first Vice President, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, and the late Mary Ajuma Odinga. If all goes well, he will be elected as Kenya’s fifth president.

Kenya’s then-President Daniel Moi placed him under house arrest for seven months in 1982. Raila was later charged with treason as a result of his political activism for greater democratic space, and he was imprisoned for six years without trial.
